In Contemporary Contextualised Studies lecture this week we looked at different decades in fashion and how the silhouette and fashion body has developed/changed. One of the designers that caught my eye was Elsa Schiaparelli who was an Italian designer born in 1890 and died in 1972. Her and Coco Chanel were in competition with one another. Sadly due to the changes in fashion after the Second World War her fashion house had to close in 1954 as she did not adapt to the changes in customer demand.
