On Monday we had a visit to The Sculpture Show for our class in CCS looking at the way the human body
is expressed in sculpture. It was interesting to see so many different pieces
of work.
Everything Is Going To be Alright
A Man In The Ground!
The main artwork which I was drawn to was “Bed Head” by Scottish artist Jim Lambie
as I love buttons…and sleep! It is interesting how he has taken these two
functional items and combined them to be somewhat functional - however making
it aesthetically pleasing. If you slept on it you would woke up with marks all
over your body! Every button was individuality sewed on which represents to
Lambie for all of the dreams he has ever had.
